Accessibility Statement

The Anguilla House of Assembly is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including people with disabilities. We continually work to improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards.

Accessibility Features

This website includes the following accessibility features:

  • Text Size Adjustment - Increase or decrease text size using our accessibility toolbar
  • High Contrast Mode - Switch to a high contrast colour scheme for better visibility
  • Readable Font - Option to switch to a more readable, dyslexia-friendly font
  • Link Highlighting - Underline all links for easier identification
  • Keyboard Navigation - Full keyboard accessibility throughout the site
  • Video Transcripts - Parliamentary sessions include links to video recordings on YouTube

Using the Accessibility Toolbar

The accessibility toolbar is located in the top right corner of every page. Click the Accessibility button to open the toolbar and access the following options:

  • A- - Decrease text size
  • A+ - Increase text size
  • Contrast - Toggle high contrast mode
  • Font - Switch to a readable font
  • Links - Underline all links
  • Reset - Return to default settings

Your accessibility preferences are saved automatically and will be remembered when you return to the site.

Standards Compliance

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more user-friendly for everyone.
